  • 100 grams Cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 Carrot, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 sliced Fresh lime
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro for garnish

Directions

Step 1

Bring a pot of water to boil. Add the mie (egg noodles) and cook until al dente, approximately 4-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic and sliced red chili peppers, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 4

Increase the heat to high and add the sliced chicken breast. Stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Step 5

Add the cabbage, carrot, and half of the chopped green onions to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.

Step 6

Reduce heat to medium and add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing them with the chicken and vegetables.

Step 7

Pour in the low sodium soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, tossing everything together until well coated.

Step 8

Sprinkle the white pepper and coriander powder over the noodles, mixing thoroughly.

Step 9

Remove the pan from heat and squeeze half of the fresh lime over the noodles for extra zest.

Step 10

Serve the low sodium mie gacoan hot, garnished with remaining green onions, fresh cilantro, and lime slices on the side.
