  • 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted baking powder
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang to easily lift the lemon squares out later.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 0.25 cup of granulated sugar.

Step 3

Cut in 0.5 cup of unsalted butter using a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until it is lightly golden.
