Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon zest
  • 1.5 tablespoons Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Powdered ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and powdered ginger to create a rub for the wings.

Step 3

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they become crispy when baked.

Step 4

Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the spice rub and toss them until each wing is evenly coated.

Step 5

Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking, until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 7

While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

Step 8

Stir in the fresh lemon juice to the melted butter and mix until well combined. This will be the glaze for the wings.

Step 9

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush them with the lemon-butter glaze using a pastry brush.

Step 10

Serve the wings immediately while they're still hot and enjoy!
