Ingredients

  • 500 grams Raw shelled peanuts
  • 50 grams Rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 100 milliliters Water
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the rice flour, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.

Step 2

Gradually add the water to the dry mixture, stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms. The batter should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Step 3

Add the raw peanuts to the batter and stir gently to ensure they are fully coated.

Step 4

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). If you don't have a thermometer, drop a small amount of batter into the oil; it should sizzle and rise to the surface.

Step 5

Carefully drop small batches of coated peanuts into the hot oil, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-5 minutes or until the peanuts are golden brown and crispy.

Step 6

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried peanuts from the oil, placing them onto a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 7

Allow the peanuts to cool completely before serving to ensure maximum crunchiness.

Step 8

Store any leftover peanuts in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness.
