Ingredients

  • 6 squares low sodium whole wheat graham crackers
  • 3 ounces low sodium dark chocolate
  • 3 large unsalted marshmallows

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a grill or prepare a campfire to medium heat. Alternatively, preheat your oven to broil setting or use a microwave.

Step 2

Break each graham cracker square in half to have a total of 12 pieces, for 3 completed s'mores.

Step 3

Place three pieces of low sodium dark chocolate on one half of each of the three graham crackers.

Step 4

Skewer an unsalted marshmallow onto a roasting stick or skewer.

Step 5

Hold the marshmallow about 6 inches above the heat source, rotating slowly, until it is golden brown on all sides and soft inside. This should take about 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 6

If using an oven, place marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil for 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Step 7

If using a microwave, place marshmallows on a microwave-safe plate and heat on high for about 10-15 seconds until puffed (use caution as marshmallows can over-expand).
