Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 1 medium, finely chopped Onion
  • 4 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon, freshly grated Ginger
  • 2 finely chopped Green chilies
  • 0.5 cup, chopped Coriander leaves
  • 0.5 cup, chopped Cilantro leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon, ground Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Besan (chickpea flour)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, green chilies, chopped coriander and cilantro leaves, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, and black pepper.

Step 2

Add the egg and besan (chickpea flour) to the mixture. Mix everything well using your hands until thoroughly combined. This will help bind the kabab mixture.

Step 3

Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for at least 15 minutes. This helps the flavors meld and the mixture to firm up for easier shaping.

Step 4

Divide the mixture into equal portions, about 8 cylindrical shapes, and press each around a skewer ensuring each is tightly packed around the skewer. If not using skewers, simply form into elongated patties.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, place the skewers or patties in the pan. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, turning occasionally, until the kababs are well browned and cooked through.

Step 7

Serve the low sodium classic beef seekh kababs hot with a side of fresh salad or mint chutney.
