Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 4 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Low-sodium barbecue sauce

Directions

Step 1

Start by preheating your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Prepare the ribs by removing the silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs for optimal tenderness.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, thyme, and oregano to create the dry rub.

Step 4

Rub the olive oil over both sides of the ribs, then generously apply the dry rub, pressing it into the meat.

Step 5

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, curved side up, and cover them tightly with another sheet of foil.

Step 6

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours until the meat is tender.

Step 7

Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).

Step 8

Uncover the ribs and brush both sides abundantly with the low-sodium barbecue sauce.

Step 9

Return the ribs to the oven without the foil and bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

Step 10

Allow the ribs to rest for 10 minutes before slicing between each rib bone to serve.
