Ingredients

  • 500 grams Unsalted dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Neutral oil (such as grapeseed or canola)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt substitute (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Place the unsalted dry roasted peanuts into a high-powered food processor. If you prefer a sweeter taste, consider adding a tablespoon of honey at this stage.

Step 2

Start the processor on a low setting and gradually increase the speed to high. Let the peanuts process for about 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your desired consistency. You'll notice the peanuts turn from crumbs to a coarse paste, and eventually into a creamy butter.

Step 3

If the peanut butter seems too thick or dry, add the neutral oil one tablespoon at a time, processing for a few seconds in between to check the consistency. Adjust the amount based on how creamy you want your peanut butter.

Step 4

Taste the peanut butter and, if desired, add the salt substitute to enhance the flavor. Blend again for a few seconds to ensure it is well incorporated.

Step 5

Once the peanut butter is creamy and smooth, stop the processor. Transfer the peanut butter into an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Step 6

Stir the peanut butter before each use as it may separate naturally.
