Ingredients

  • 500 grams Lean ground beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 medium Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 400 grams Ready-made puff pastry (low sodium)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the lean ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.

Step 5

Mix in the black pepper, low sodium Worcestershire sauce, and chopped fresh parsley. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the skillet from heat and let the beef mixture cool.

Step 7

Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, approximately 10cm x 10cm in size.

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Fold the pastry over to create a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing them with a fork.

Beat the egg with the tablespoon of water to create an egg wash. Brush this over the top of each pastry.

Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
