Ingredients

  • 2 large Sweet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin, even-sized strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 3

In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato strips with olive oil, making sure each piece is well-coated.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, ground black pepper, and cornstarch.

Step 5

Sprinkle the spice and cornstarch mixture over the sweet potatoes, tossing to ensure an even coating.

Step 6

Spread the sweet potato strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap for even cooking.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and flip the fries over.

Step 8

Return the fries to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and allow the fries to cool for a couple of minutes. Chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle it over the fries for garnish and flavor.

Step 10

Serve the Low Sodium Batata Frita immediately while hot and crispy. Enjoy as a side dish or snack!
