Ingredients

  • 200 g Extra lean ground beef (95% lean)
  • 2 slices Low-fat cheddar cheese slices
  • 2 buns Whole wheat burger buns
  • 2 slices Turkey bacon
  • 2 large Egg whites
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 small Tomato, sliced
  • 4 slices Pickles, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Ketchup (no added sugar)
  • 4 tablespoons Cooked corn kernels
  • 1 spray Olive oil spray
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, season the extra lean ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat the surface with olive oil spray. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through.

Step 3

In the same skillet, cook the turkey bacon slices until crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

Step 4

Wipe the skillet clean and reapply a light spray of olive oil. Pour the egg whites into the skillet to create two small, circular patties. Cook for about 2 minutes per side, until firm. Remove and set aside.

Step 5

Toast the whole wheat burger buns briefly in the skillet or in a toaster until warm and slightly crispy.

Step 6

Assemble the X-Tudo burgers: Start with the bottom half of the bun. Spread 1 teaspoon each of ketchup and mustard. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a cooked patty, a slice of low-fat cheddar cheese, a slice of turkey bacon, half the tomato slices, and a few pickle slices.

Step 7

Add 2 tablespoons of cooked corn kernels and place one egg white patty on top. Add another lettuce leaf, then the top half of the bun. Repeat the process for the second burger.
