Ingredients

  • 200 grams Lean sirloin steak
  • 200 grams Chicken breast
  • 3 cups Cooked brown rice
  • 3 large Egg whites
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 3 tablespoons Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 as needed Cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Trim any visible fat from the sirloin steak and chicken breasts. Cut them into small bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Step 2

Peel and dice the carrot, mince the garlic, and finely chop the green onions. If using frozen peas, let them thaw at room temperature.

Step 3

Heat a large nonstick skillet or wok over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray.

Begin by cooking the steak pieces for about 3-4 minutes until browned on the outside. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 minutes until fully cooked. Remove these from the pan as well.

Return the cooked steak and chicken to the pan and stir well to combine with the rice mixture.

Drizzle the soy sauce evenly over the fried rice and mix well to ensure everything is coated. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
