Ingredients

  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 7 grams Active dry yeast
  • 180 milliliters Warm water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 60 grams Non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Step 2

Add olive oil, non-fat Greek yogurt, and salt into the yeast mixture. Stir until well combined.

Step 3

Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the wet ingredients, mixing continuously until a sticky dough forms.

Step 4

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-8 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Add more flour as needed, but be careful not to add too much to keep the dough soft.

Step 5

Place the kneaded dough back into the bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Step 6

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 7

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Mix garlic powder with a small amount of olive oil, and brush the tops of the dough balls lightly with the mixture.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the dough balls are cooked through.

Step 10

Allow the dough balls to cool slightly, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
