Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds Pork ribs
  • 1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup Low-sugar BBQ sauce
  • 0.25 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.

Step 3

Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs to create an even coating.

Step 4

Place ribs in the slow cooker. Add the low-sodium chicken broth and apple cider vinegar around the ribs.

Step 5

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the ribs are tender and the meat is pulling away from the bones.

Step 6

Once the ribs are cooked, carefully remove them from the slow cooker and drain off any excess liquid.

Step 7

Preheat your oven broiler to high.

Step 8

Transfer the ribs to a baking sheet lined with foil.

Step 9

Brush the ribs generously with low-sugar BBQ sauce.

Step 10

Place the ribs under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, basting once, until the BBQ sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

Step 11

If you prefer a sweeter touch, sprinkle a small amount of brown sugar over the ribs before broiling.

Step 12

Remove from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve.
