  • 120 grams all-purpose flour

  • 180 milliliters warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 250 grams lean chicken sausage
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg white

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, instant yeast, warm water, olive oil, honey, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 2

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Remove the casing from the lean chicken sausages and crumble the sausage meat into a skillet.
