Ingredients

  • 500 grams lean ground pork
  • 1 large egg white
  • 50 grams whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 medium, finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves, minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the lean ground pork, egg white, whole wheat breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Place the patties in the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).

Step 5

Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Step 6

Serve the pork patties warm, optionally accompanied by a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete healthy meal.
