Ingredients

  • 500 grams Sauerkraut
  • 4 links Low-fat turkey sausage
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
  • 240 milliliters Chicken broth
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 1 leaf Bay leaf
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Begin by draining the sauerkraut and set it aside.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the olive oil.

Slice the turkey sausage links into bite-sized pieces and add them to the skillet. Cook until they are browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
