Ingredients

  • 300 grams Rigatoni pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 400 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 100 grams Low-fat ricotta cheese
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 5 leaves Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent.
