Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Whole wheat pita bread
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray.

Step 2

Cut each pita bread into 8 equal wedges using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors. If the pita bread has pockets, you can separate the layers for thinner chips.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning mixture.

Step 4

Place the pita wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Use a pastry brush or your hands to lightly coat each wedge with the seasoning mixture.

Flip the wedges and coat the other side lightly with the seasoning mixture as well.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the pita chips are golden brown and crispy.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and allow the chips to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
