Ingredients

  • 150 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 150 grams Low-fat Nutella
  • 60 grams Unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 Egg white
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the low-fat Nutella, unsweetened applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg white. Mix until well blended.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Using a tablespoon, scoop small amounts of the dough and roll them into balls. Place each ball onto the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each.

Step 6

Flatten each ball gently with the back of a spoon to form disc shapes.

Step 7

Sprinkle the granulated sugar evenly over the top of the biscuits.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and allow the biscuits to cool on the baking tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Serve and enjoy your low-fat Nutella biscuits with a cup of tea or coffee!
