  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup small pasta (e.g., macaroni or ditalini)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnishing)

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
