  • 1 cup Skim milk
  • 2 teaspoons or bags Black tea leaves or tea bags
  • 2 Green cardamom pods
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 inch, sliced Fresh ginger
  • 5 Black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water, the cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, sliced ginger, and black peppercorns.

Step 2

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse the water.

Step 3

Add the black tea leaves or tea bags to the spiced water and continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.

Step 4

Pour in 1 cup of skim milk and increase the heat to medium. Allow the mixture to heat until it begins to simmer again.
