Ingredients

  • 300 grams Lean ground beef
  • 300 grams Lean ground pork
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 small Carrot
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Low-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 tablespoons Oatmeal, finely ground
  • 1 as needed Olive oil spray

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the onion, carrot, and garlic. These vegetables will add moisture and flavor to the patties without added fat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef and lean ground pork. Mix them together gently with your hands.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion, carrot, and garlic to the meat mixture.

Step 4

Chop the fresh parsley finely and add it to the mixture along with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and low-fat Greek yogurt. Mix everything together to evenly incorporate.

Step 5

Add the egg white, which acts as a binding agent, and the finely ground oatmeal to help absorb moisture and hold the patties together. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Step 6

Shape the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties by hand. Ensure that they are not too thick to allow them to cook evenly.

Step 7

Spray a non-stick skillet or grill pan with olive oil spray and heat it over medium heat.

Step 8

Place the patties in the pan, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook each side for 6-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 9

Once cooked, remove the patties from the pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving. This will help keep them juicy.

Step 10

Serve the patties hot with your choice of sides or in a whole-grain bun with fresh toppings of your choice.
