Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 1 whole Lemon
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with a small amount of olive oil.

Step 2

Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3

Zest the lemon and set the zest aside. Cut the remaining lemon into thin slices.

Step 4

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.

Step 5

In a small bowl, combine the chopped garlic, lemon zest, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir this mixture well to form a thick paste.

Step 6

Rub the herb and garlic paste evenly over the top of each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well coated.

Step 7

Arrange the lemon slices on top of and around the salmon fillets for added flavor infusion during roasting.

Step 8

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the salmon for about 15 to 20 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets. They are done when they turn opaque and flake easily with a fork.

Step 9

Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with additional lemon wedges if desired.
