Ingredients

  • 250 grams lean ground beef
  • 250 grams lean ground turkey
  • 1 medium, finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 50 grams whole grain bread crumbs
  • 60 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 as needed vegetable oil spray

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the whole grain bread crumbs and milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the crumbs absorb the milk and become soft.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, lean ground turkey, chopped onion, egg, soaked bread crumbs, chopped parsley, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Use your hands to gently mix all the ingredients until they are well combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Step 4

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties about 2 cm thick.

Step 5

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with vegetable oil spray.

Step 6

Place the patties in the skillet, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through, and the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the Frikadelle from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the Low Fat Frikadelle warm, with a side of mixed vegetables or a fresh salad.
