Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 0 Olive oil cooking spray
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

Place the wonton wrappers on a clean cutting board and stack them neatly. Using a sharp knife, cut the stack of wonton wrappers into 1/2-inch wide strips.

Step 3

Spread the wonton strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap for even cooking.

Step 4

Lightly spray the wonton strips with olive oil cooking spray, ensuring a light and even coat on each strip.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle half of the spice mixture evenly over the wonton strips.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 minutes, then remove the baking sheet from the oven.

Step 7

Carefully flip each wonton strip over using tongs or a spatula. Lightly spray the strips again with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle the remaining spice mixture over them.

Step 8

Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 3-4 minutes, or until the wonton strips are golden brown and crispy.

Step 9

Allow the wonton strips to cool slightly on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve the low fat fried wonton strips as a topping for salads or soups, or enjoy them as a light snack.
