Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Low-fat milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0 for frying Vegetable oil spray
  • 0 for dusting Powdered sugar

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then mix in the low-fat milk and vanilla extract.

Step 3

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to over mix as this can make the dough tough.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and lightly spray it with vegetable oil spray.

Step 5

Using a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop small balls of batter into the pan, making sure to leave enough space between each one.

Step 6

Allow the dough balls to cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a spatula to gently turn them over.

Step 7

Once done, transfer the dough balls to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

Let them cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Step 9

Serve warm and enjoy!
