Ingredients

  • 250 grams lean ground chicken
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 20 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg white
  • 0 cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the green onions, mince the garlic cloves, and grate the fresh ginger.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine the lean ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, low-sodium soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Step 3

Lay one wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Place about one teaspoon of the chicken mixture into the center of each wrapper.

Step 4

In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg white with 2 tablespoons of water to create an egg wash.

Step 5

Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper lightly with the egg wash using a pastry brush or your finger.

Step 6

Fold the wrapper over filling to create a triangle, pressing to remove air and to seal all edges. Ensure there are no gaps.

Step 7

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F).

Step 8

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Step 9

Place the wontons in a single layer leaving space between them; you may need to cook them in batches.

Step 10

Lightly spray the tops of the wontons with cooking spray to ensure they crisp up.

Step 11

Fry the wontons at 190°C (375°F) for about 10-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Turn halfway through cooking time for even crisping.

Step 12

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
