Ingredients

  • 250 grams lean ground pork
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 5 grams sage leaves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 40 grams bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 sheet low-fat puff pastry
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0 non-stick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the lean ground pork with the diced onion, garlic powder, fennel seeds, finely chopped sage leaves, thyme, bread crumbs, and half of the beaten egg. Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until everything is well combined.

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle approximately 30 cm x 25 cm.

Take the sausage mixture and form it into a long, even sausage shape along the longer edge of the puff pastry.
