Ingredients

  • 500 grams Mixed berries (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 medium Apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 100 grams Rolled oats
  • 50 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 30 grams Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 50 grams Low-fat spread or margarine
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the mixed berries and diced apples.

Step 3

Add the lemon juice and honey to the fruit mixture and toss gently to coat the fruit evenly. Transfer this mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 4

In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Step 5

Add the low-fat spread to the dry ingredients and use your fingertips to rub it into the mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruit in the baking dish.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the crumble is golden brown and the fruit beneath is bubbling.

Step 8

Allow the crumble to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as is, or with a dollop of low-fat yogurt or vanilla custard, if desired.
