Ingredients

  • 0.5 pound ground chicken breast
  • 3 pieces green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 30 pieces wonton wrappers
  • None None non-stick cooking spray
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 2

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the chicken mixture into the center of the wrapper.

Step 3

Lightly brush the edges of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pressing to seal the edges securely.

Step 4

Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 5

Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 6

Place pot stickers in the skillet in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other. Cook for about 2 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.

Step 7

Carefully add 0.5 cup of water to the skillet and immediately cover with a lid. Allow the pot stickers to steam for about 5-6 minutes or until the filling is cooked through and the wrappers are tender.

Step 8

Remove the lid and continue to cook for another minute to let any remaining water evaporate.

Step 9

Serve the pot stickers hot with your favorite low-sodium dipping sauce.
