  • 1 cup Brown rice
  • 6 cups Low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon, sliced Fresh ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon White pepper
  • 2 stalks, chopped Green onions
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Cilantro

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch and prevents the porridge from becoming too thick.

Step 2

In a large pot, combine the rinsed rice, chicken breast, low-sodium chicken broth, and water.

Add the garlic cloves and sliced ginger to the pot.
