Ingredients

  • 300 grams lean ground beef
  • 200 grams lean ground pork
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 0 olive oil spray

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef and lean ground pork until well blended.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, ground black pepper, salt, and baking soda to the meat mixture.

Step 3

Gently mix in the sparkling water and chopped fresh parsley until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Step 4

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the mixture to rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Step 5

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Step 6

While the grill is heating, shape the meat mixture into small sausage-like shapes, about 3 inches long and 1 inch in diameter.

Step 7

Lightly spray the grill with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.

Step 8

Place the chevapchichi onto the hot grill and cook for approximately 7 minutes on each side, or until they are thoroughly cooked and have a slight char on the outside.

Step 9

Once cooked through, remove the chevapchichi from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve warm with your choice of side dishes such as grilled vegetables, pita bread, or a fresh salad.
