  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cup Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Low-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 as needed Cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar in 3/4 cup warm water. Add 1 packet of active dry yeast to the sugar water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.

Step 2

Add 1.5 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir until a dough begins to form.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Lightly oil a bowl, place the kneaded dough in it, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
