Ingredients

  • 500 grams Lean ground chicken
  • 100 grams Whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 3 large Egg whites
  • 50 milliliters Low-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 bottle Olive oil spray
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 3

In a shallow dish, whisk together egg whites and low-fat milk until well blended.

Step 4

Place whole wheat bread crumbs in another shallow dish.

Step 5

Shape the chicken mixture into patties, approximately 8 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick. You should have about 8 patties.

Step 6

Dip each patty first in the egg white mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the whole wheat bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.

Step 7

Arrange the breaded patties on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Lightly spray the tops of the patties with olive oil spray to encourage browning and crispiness.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then carefully flip each patty over and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the patties are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 10

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
