Ingredients

  • 500 grams Lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 pieces Green chilies, chopped
  • 1 large Tomato, diced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 100 grams Peas, frozen
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the green chilies and diced tomato, stir well and cook for 3 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.

Step 5

Mix in the turmeric, coriander, and cumin powders, and cook for a further 2 minutes to allow the spices to release their aroma.

Step 6

Add the lean ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until it browns evenly, approximately 8 minutes.
