  • 500 grams lean ground beef (95% lean)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt
  • 4 pieces whole wheat pita breads
  • 0.5 large cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 4 leaves lettuce leaves, shredded
  • 1 cup low-fat tzatziki sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Add the low-fat plain yogurt to the mixture and mix thoroughly using your hands until all ingredients are well incorporated.
