Ingredients

  • 250 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 1 packet Instant yeast
  • 150 milliliters Warm water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 100 grams Turkey bacon
  • 100 grams Reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Skim milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Add the instant yeast and mix well.

Step 2

Pour the warm water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 3

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Step 4

Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, cook the turkey bacon in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until crisp. Once cooked, chop it into small pieces.

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
