Ingredients

  • 1 Whole wheat bagel
  • 2 slices Low-fat turkey bacon
  • 3 tablespoons Egg whites
  • 1 slice Low-fat cheddar cheese slice
  • 1 spray Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2

Add the turkey bacon slices to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Step 4

Pour the egg whites into the same skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are fully cooked and slightly fluffy.

Step 5

While the eggs are cooking, slice the whole wheat bagel in half and toast to your liking.

Step 6

Once the potatoes and egg whites are ready, assemble the bagel: place the cooked turkey bacon on the bottom half, followed by the cooked egg whites, and then the low-fat cheddar cheese slice.

Step 7

Top with the other half of the bagel. If desired, place the assembled bagel back in the skillet or oven for a minute or two to allow the cheese to melt slightly.

Step 8

Serve hot and enjoy your low-fat breakfast bagel!
