  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 400 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 10 chopped Fresh basil leaves
  • 30 grams, grated Pecorino Romano cheese

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the whole wheat spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Chop the turkey bacon into small pieces and add it to the skillet. Cook until it becomes crispy, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6

Pour the canned crushed tomatoes into the skillet, stirring well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 7

Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer gently for about 10 minutes, until it thickens slightly.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss until well coated.

Step 10

Serve hot, garnished with grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
