Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons Hot water
  • 1 cup Low-fat unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 whole Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any lumps.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk or small handheld frother until the mixture is smooth and frothy.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until it is warm, but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent skin from forming.
