Ingredients

  • 500 grams Potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 small Green Chili
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 0.25 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Set aside.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion, tomato, green chili, ginger, and garlic.

Step 3

Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 4

Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter for a few seconds.

Step 5

Add chopped onion, green chili, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

Step 6

Add the chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.

Step 7

Stir in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix them well with the onion-tomato mixture.
