In a small pot, add the peeled and cubed taro root. Cover with water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Cook the taro for 10-12 minutes, or until soft and fork-tender. Drain and let it cool slightly.
In a blender, combine the cooked taro root, unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk, erythritol or monk fruit sweetener, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
In a separate heatproof cup, steep the black tea bags in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
