Ingredients

  • 450 g Beef sirloin (cut into thin strips)
  • 1 large Red bell pepper (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 large Green bell pepper (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 large Yellow bell pepper (sliced into thin strips)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil (or other neutral cooking oil)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 0.5 tsp Red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 stalks Green onion (sliced for garnish)
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef sirloin into strips and season with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Prepare the red, green, and yellow bell peppers by slicing them into thin strips and set aside.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and red chili flakes (if using). Set the sauce mixture aside.

Step 4

Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of avocado oil. Once hot, add the seasoned beef strips in batches to avoid overcrowding. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of avocado oil to the wok, then add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 6

Add the sliced bell peppers to the wok. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the peppers are slightly tender but still crisp.

Step 7

Return the browned beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Toss everything together and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has coated the ingredients evenly.

Step 8

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.
