Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Almond flour
  • 0.5 cups Coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons Psyllium husk powder
  • 1 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 3 large Egg whites
  • 0.75 cups Sourdough starter (low-carb, made from almond flour and water)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly to ensure the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the water, apple cider vinegar, egg whites, and sourdough starter until well combined.

Step 4

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. The dough will be sticky but manageable.

Step 5

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a baguette shape, about 10-12 inches long. Place the shaped dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6

Use a sharp knife to score diagonal slashes across the tops of the loaves to give them the traditional baguette appearance.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the baguettes are golden brown and firm to the touch.

Step 8

Remove the baguettes from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Step 9

Serve the low-carb sourdough baguette fresh or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
