  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 pieces banana leaves
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the cauliflower rice by cutting the cauliflower into florets and pulsing them in a food processor until they resemble rice grains.

Step 2

Mince the garlic, chop the onion, and slice the green onions. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion, sauté until the onion becomes translucent.

Step 4

Add the ground pork to the pan. Cook until the pork is browned, breaking it up with a spatula during cooking.

Step 5

Stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Remove the pork mixture from the pan and set aside. Wipe the pan clean.
