Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower florets
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.33 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded, for topping)
  • 1 cup Toppings of choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives)
  • 1 handful Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet or a pizza stone with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

Break the cauliflower into florets and place them in a food processor. Pulse until the cauliflower resembles rice-like granules.

Step 3

Transfer the cauliflower 'rice' to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 5 minutes, or until it becomes soft. Let it cool slightly.

Step 4

Place the cooked cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze out as much water as possible to ensure a crispy crust.

Step 5

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower, egg, 1 cup of mozzarella, 0.25 cup Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Step 6

Spread the cauliflower mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a circle or rectangle about 0.25-inch thick. Press down firmly to ensure an even crust.

Step 7

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.

Step 8

Remove the crust from the oven and spread the pizza sauce evenly over the top.

Step 9

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add your desired toppings.

Step 10

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 11

Allow the pizza to cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve immediately.
