Ingredients

  • 250 grams Ground chicken
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 12 large Napa cabbage leaves
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 small Carrot

Directions

Step 1

Begin by preparing the filling. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce, and half of the chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Step 2

Lay a single Napa cabbage leaf flat on a cutting board. Place about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture on the end of each leaf. Roll the leaf up tightly to enclose the filling, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Step 3

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Add the sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Carefully drop each stuffed cabbage roll into the simmering broth. Let them cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cabbage is tender.

Step 5

Peel and thinly slice the carrot. Add the carrot slices to the broth with about 5 minutes left in the cooking time to slightly soften them.

Step 6

Once the pangsit are cooked through, divide them among serving bowls, topping off with the hot broth.

Step 7

Garnish each bowl with the remaining chopped green onions before serving.

Step 8

Enjoy your delicious, low-carb Pangsit Kuah immediately!
