Chop the tomatoes and set them aside. Grate or finely chop the ginger, and mince the garlic cloves.
Cut the paneer into bite-sized cubes.
In a pan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
