  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Peel the turnips and cut them into quarters for even baking.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried rosemary, dried thyme, salt, and ground black pepper.

Add the turnip quarters to the bowl and toss them until they're evenly coated with the oil and spice mixture.

Step 5

Spread the coated turnip quarters in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the turnips are tender when pierced with a fork and golden brown on the edges.

Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve warm.
